1 WEEK LEVEL UP
I don't want the title to mislead you that there is (nor should there be) any kind of 'quick fix', 'get fit fast' etc involved in this post! I knew that as someone who has been in a 'fitness' routine of some kind for the last 10+ years, I was ready for a change or as I always tell my clients.. to level up! The photo on the left was taken June 4th and the photo on the right June 11th.
WHY DID I WANT TO LEVEL UP?
I am far too young, have too many blessings, & too much potential to feel the anxiety, tiredness, or brain fog that I had been feeling. I truly just have felt Inflammation -- slower to wake up In the mornings, puffiness In my face, digestion problems. I have always exercised consistently and have made very calorie/protein conscious choices for the last few years so I knew my next leap was my 'end goal' and that is to start to live a life using the foods (and as much as I can) the products that God intended us to.
Did you know your gut is linked to your brain? So when I was feeling the urge of what I could do to ensure I was enjoying every minute with my daughter, and showing up as my best self for my clients - I knew it all came back to my gut health.
WHAT AM I DOING TO LEVEL UP?
I share the photo of my 7 day change with you as a physical example of how much INTERNALLY your gut is controlling! Within these 7 days, the only difference in my routine is that I have only eaten 'as natural' or from the earth (chicken, shrimp, beef, brown rice, sweet potatoes, eggs, vegetables, fruits, seeds, nuts, avocado) with only NoCow brand protein bars added in as a way to help get my protein in (and protein shakes - I am trying a new brand right now and will share when I have my full review).
The rest of my routine - following my boot camp workouts (I follow the WRITTEN workout, not the video - so that I can go slow and controlled with heavier weights) 4-5 days of the week, getting 7-8 bottles of water daily, and trying to walk at least a mile (some days more) 4-5 days of the week.
I hope that you will feel encouraged to take the STEP.. whatever that is for you, into a better version of yourself! Maybe it is limiting fast food because you know you don't feel great after or spend too much money. Maybe it has nothing to do with health and it is a work goal or a lifestyle goal.
