165-Calorie Microwave Chocolate Mug Cake
Satisfy your night time sweet tooth without sabotaging your fitness goals!
Knowing that I can 'bake' something sweet using only my microwave is a major win. Knowing that I can enjoy the flavor of molten/melty chocolate for only 165 calories... now that is a MAJOR win! I promise other members of your household will be asking for you to make them one, and it's so easy - there is no reason you can't!
This recipe makes 1 mug (1 single serving). Try it out with different flavors of yogurt or protein powder to make a creation of your own!
I chose to use a vegan based protein powder. Using a WHEY protein powder instead will effect the consistency,
The protein powder I use (chocolate flavor) can be purchased HERE.
INGREDIENTS
3TBSP Two Good Vanilla Yogurt
2TBSP Vegan Chocolate Protein Powder (Arbonne)
1TBSP Hershey's Cocoa Powder
1TBSP Swerve Confectioners Sugar
1/2TBSP Baking Powder
1 Egg
16 Lily's Dark Chocolate Chips
Step 1: The first 5
Mix your first 5 ingredients (Yougrt, protein, cocoa, sugar, & baking powder). Then, mix in your egg.
Step 2: Time to cook
Microwave your mixture for 1 minute 30 seconds.
Step 3: Top it off
Top your mug cake with dark chocolate chips. If you want them to melt (like a lava cake) - add them on immediately after microwaving. If you want them to be more chewy - wait 30 seconds after removing from the microwave before adding chips.
